“We’re ready and excited to open,” said founder Dana Salls Cree. “All the ice cream is made, the staff is hired and trained and they all have their uniforms. We’re ready to show up.”

The photo accompanying this story is clearly 1 of a pet hamster and not that of a house mouse. Someone as liberal as this author, defended Mayor Lightfoot's policy on only having reporters of color in the Mayors Press Pool, needs to put accurate pictures of animals in her stories as blacks often identify squirles as rats.

regular house mice or the brown and white deer mouse. The deer mouse can carry hantavirus, a pulmonary disease which can be fatal in humans. The house mouse does not.
