Mouth-watering Southern-style 'Chicken Salad Chick' finally arrives in Chicago metro area

Check out the many flavors including, a chicken salad sandwich with Buffalo sauce, ranch, bacon, shredded cheddar cheese, jalapeños, and Sriracha.

(CHICAGO) You may not consider the humble chicken salad to be so versatile, but the Southern franchise, Chicken Salad Chick, has built its success on serving chicken salad in an abundance of ways.

And now, the popular fast-casual restaurant chain has made its way to Chicago, taking over the former Crabby Boil building in Batavia.

Chicken Salad Chick was launched by Stacy and Kevin Brown in Alabama in 2008. Since then, the restaurant has grown to over 220 locations across 17 states.

Kim and Garrett Seaman of Fox Valley Chick, LLC are responsible for bringing the franchise to the Chicago suburbs.

"Not only do we have 12 delicious flavors of chicken salad, but everything we serve is made from scratch every day in the restaurant," said Kim in a press release. "Our guests can dine with us or pick up Quick Chicks to feed their busy crowd on the go. Either way, they will enjoy fresh food served from the heart. It's that quality and simplicity that drew us to Chicken Salad Chick."

What's on the menu?

This isn't your typical chicken salad. Although that's on the menu as well.

Chicken Salad Chick offers a dozen chicken salad flavors including:

• Diced jalapeños
• Buffalo sauce, ranch, bacon, shredded cheddar cheese, jalapeños, and Sriracha
• Ranch, bacon, and cheddar cheese
• Pecans, basil, and lemon
• Hickory smoked barbeque
• Fuji apples, grapes, and pecans

Also on the menu is the Southern favorite, pimento cheese sandwiches. These are a blend of freshly grated sharp cheddar and pepper jack cheeses combined with a small amount of house dressing.

You can even opt to get your pimento cheese on the spicy side if you prefer a little heat.

Opening day events

The grand opening is set for Tuesday, January 10, 2023.

On Tuesday, the first 100 guests will get one large Quick Chick of chicken salad per month for one year. And one lucky winner will receive it weekly.

The giveaways continue all week with the first 50 guests on Wednesday through Saturday receiving free items such as tumblers, coolers, and water bottles.

Details

Chicken Salad Chick is located at 220 N. Randall Road in Batavia. The hours are Monday through Saturday from 10:30 AM to 8 PM. Although on opening day only (Tuesday, January 10) guests can start lining up at 7 AM.
