What city has the most expensive homes in Illinois?

    2023-06-23

Not surprisingly, the cities with the top 30 most expensive homes in Illinois are all located in the Chicago-Naperville-Elgin, IL-IN-WI metro area.

(CHICAGO) According to Zillow, the average home value in Illinois is $247,384. It's up 2.2% over the past year, and homes are selling fast. The majority are listed as "pending" after being on the market for about seven days.

Although home prices are up overall, some areas in the state are tremendously expensive for real estate.

Thanks to Stacker, we have a list of the top 30 most expensive homes in Illinois. They are all located around the Chicago area. Stacker used data from Zillow to compile the cities with the highest-priced houses.

What's the most expensive city on the list? We're going to take a look at the top five.
