Bite Into This Chicago Market's 7-Pound Burrito: Are You Hungry Enough?

    2024-06-13

Martinez Market & Grill has a burrito the size of your arm.

    By Jennifer Geer

It's called the Big Baby Burrito, and it's 24 inches long and weighs nearly seven pounds. Martinez Market & Grill offers the largest burrito in Chicago. It's quite literally the size of an arm.

At $30.99, this massive burrito is meant to be shared with a group. Martinez also offers a Baby Burrito that's a little bit smaller and will run you $10.99, ($11.99 for a steak burrito).

But quantity isn't everything. The question is, how does the food taste? According to reviewers on Yelp, the burritos and other offerings (tacos, salsa, nachos, and more) are delicious. With a 4-star rating, this market is known for great food and friendly service.

This Chicago reviewer said, "Who would have thought that Martinez Supermarket had some of the best Mexican food I've had in a while? The restaurant/bar is a hidden gem that you'll want to check out. Leave your expectations at the door, this is nothing fancy but the food is superb. The potato taco was surprisingly good and the chicken torta....OMGOSH, the best over ever had. Both were so flavorful! HUGE portions, I was only able to eat 1/4 of the chicken torta and a bite of the potato taco."

Martinez Market & Grill is located at 3301 S. Morgan in Chicago.
