Portillo's is celebrating National Hot Dog Week with a dog contest and free delivery.

(CHICAGO) July 17 is National Hot Dog Day, and Chicago-based Portillo's is celebrating all week.

Now through July 19th, your pup has a chance at joining Portillo's mascot, Pokey. Pokey was founder Dick Portillo's beloved dog who inspired the Portillo's logo. Portillo's is reintroducing Pokey as its mascot and wants her to have a friend.

All you have to do to enter your furry friend in Portillo's contest is take their picture either dressed up in Portillo's clothing, posing with some Portillo's food, or in front of a Portillo's store. Post your pooch's pic on Instagram, TikTok, or X (formerly known as Twitter) with #PokeysPal and tag @portilloshotdogs. See contest details here.

One dog from each of the 10 states that has a Portillo's will be entered in the contest and Portillo's fans will vote for their favorite.

The nine finalists will win a $100 Portillo's gift card while the grand prize winner gets free Portillo's for one year.

Portillo's is also celebrating the week with free delivery if you order $10 or more on the app from July 15 through July 21.

Chicago-based Portillo's has over 70 total restaurants with dozens of locations in the Chicago area and has expanded to 10 states including California, Texas, Michigan, Wisconsin, Indiana, Iowa, Minnesota, Arizona, and Florida.
