At the Season Four, Part One premiere of “Emily in Paris,” Ashley Park undoubtedly lived up to the sartorial reputation the Netflix series has established for itself. At Los Angeles’ Egyptian Theatre on Aug. 14, the actress wore silver Jimmy Choo platform stilettos with a unique matching gown from Lever Couture.
Styled by Brad Goreski, Park made a statement in an eye-catching avant-garde gown from Lever Couture, a fashion house created by Ukrainian designer Lessja Verlingieri. The one-strap dress included many strips of silver mesh fabric which fell to the floor and curled at the bottom. The glimmering gown featured a top with a sculptural silhouette while slits along the side of the skirt left Park’s legs exposed. She modeled silver jewelry from Pandora to accessorize the look.
Park complemented the Lever Couture gown with a pair of gleaming silver heels from Jimmy Choo. The brand’s Claressa platforms featured a sturdy platform in front and an ultra-high wide heel in the back. With a silhouette covering the back of the foot, the reflective sandal was designed with a curved strap across the toes and a thinner strap right above it; securing the shoe at the top was a strap encircling the ankle. With a metallic quality and dramatic statement heel, the platforms tied together a stunning ensemble befitting of the fashion-forward show.
Other celebrities to recently slip on a pair of Jimmy Choos include Addison Rae , who wore a pair of patent leather mules to Variety’s Power of Young Hollywood event this month; and Jennifer Aniston , who wore black suede heels while filming “The Morning Show” in July.
Metallic heels are a fixture across red carpets and similarly formal events — or they can elevate an everyday streetwear look. Salma Hayek stood taller than usual in a Gucci pair in May; Brie Larson wore a purple pair with a block heel from Louboutin this month; and Kate Upton opted for a golden version of the style while out in New York in July.
While Park welcomed the metallic trend, Lily Collins opted for a pair of black leather pumps at the premiere, posing alongside her friend and co-star in an intricately detailed black strapless gown.
Season 4 Part 1 of “Emily in Paris” hit Netflix on Aug. 15.
