Saturday’s Kobe Bryant Day celebrations weren’t limited solely to online sneaker restocks — they also included a number of events throughout the city of Los Angeles. But none were more significant than the second annual Mamba League Invitational.

For the second year in a row, the Nike-hosted two-day basketball tournament tipped off on August 23 and culminated on Kobe Day, August 24. The Mamba League Invitational pitted some of the top high school basketball players nationwide against one another.

A number of stars were present to catch the action including Bryant’s family; wife Vanessa and daughters Natalia, Bianka and Capri, along with names such as entrepreneur Michael Rubin, WNBA star Candace Parker and NBA star Trae Young.

For the big day, Vanessa and her family debuted special Kobe-themed sneakers. Vanessa wore a previously unseen Nike Air Force 1 Low “Queen Mamba” style sporting an iridescent snakeskin look.

Meanwhile, daughters Bianka and Capri wore Los Angeles Lakers-colored Air Force 1 Lows patterned with Kobe’s signature sheath logo. It’s currently unknown if either of these exact pairs will be released at retail, but a Kobe-inspired Air Force 1 Low is expected to launch sometime this year.

Vanessa also announced at the event that the winning team would receive free Nike Kobe sneakers for a year.

On Saturday, Nike celebrated Kobe Day by restocking several sold-out shoes on its SNKRS app including the Kobe 6 Protro “Reverse Grinch,” the Kobe 8 Protro “Venice Beach” and more.

While the details around these new Kobe Nike Air Force 1s remain unclear, there are a handful of other releases on the horizon. There are three different Nike Kobe 9 Protro “Halo” models coming out in the next few weeks, and a glow-in-the-dark Nike Kobe 5 Protro “X-ray” colorway will be released sometime near Halloween.
