Jennifer Lopez showed her range wearing a demure Chloé ensemble at the Road to the Golden Globes Party at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival on Sept. 7. The look, which was quite a departure from the head-turning look she wore last week at the premiere of her movie “Unstoppable,” was a pale pink sheer dress that she paired with beige boots.
The movie star was covered up from head to toe in the soft pink dress that was designed by Chloé’s Creative Director Chemena Kamali for her 2024 Fall collection. The dress was made from organic silk mousseline and the ruffles on the dress gently cascaded down Lopez’s frame.
To walk down the red carpet at the event, which took place at Four Seasons Hotel, Lopez was styled by Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn, who balanced the femininity of her elegant dress with a pair of Chloé’s over-the-knee Eve boots in beige.
The calfskin leather boots added a monochromatic effect to Lopez’s look. The slouchy effect on the front of the shoe also gave the look a more casual and relaxed appearance, and marked the transition into the colder weather. The Eve Leather Over-The-Knee Boots are currently available in a dark purple and chocolate brown hue for $2,090 . She also paired the look with earrings, cuff and ring from Sabyasachi High Jewellery.
With this Chloé look, the actress showed that she can wear just about any look on the carpet. While she is known for rocking form-fitting, sheer and skintight dresses and gowns paired with sky-high platform heels to Hollywood’s hottest events, this is proof that a covered up, more toned down look suits her just as well.
Lopez is at TIFF to promote her upcoming movie “Unstoppable,” in which she stars in as Judy Robles, the mother of Anthony Robles, played by fellow Bronx native Jharrel Jerome. Robles attended the event wearing all-white Air Force 1s, while his mom wore a gold strappy heel.
The movie follows the life of the athlete who was born with one leg, and defies expectations to become a champion wrestler in college and beyond. The film, which is set to be released wide later this month, also stars Bobby Cannavale, Don Cheadle and Michael Peña. It was produced by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon’s production company Artists Equity.
