LaMelo Ball’s Puma Sneaker Is Dressing Up in Orange for Halloween

Puma Re-Teams With KidSuper On New Collection Reimagining Easy Rider and Palermo Sneakers

More and more Halloween sneakers are beginning to pop up as the holiday draws nearer, and it should come as no surprise that LaMelo Ball ‘s will be one of the loudest.

The Puma MB.03 “Halloween” heavily favors orange in its holiday-appropriate orange and black makeup. The upper opts for a darker shade of orange with a black marbling pattern, and the rip patterns on the lateral and medial sides have been replaced with something like a lightnighing bolt. On the tongue, you’ll find a Jack-0′-Lantern face complete with eyes beneath the laces and a mouth cut-out on the vamp, and two different shades of orange are used for the midsole and tongue-and-heel combo. Another Halloween-specific addition comes with “Trick or Treat” printed on the mustache, and the shoe is completed with a translucent outsole.

As Ball’s line has progressed with more models, Puma has consistently returned to the older sneakers rather than completely moving on. The MB.03’s “Halloween” treatment will arrive after Ball’s newest signature model, the MB.04, which launched Thursday.

In addition to the performance basketball shoes, Ball also received a lifestyle sneaker from Puma earlier this year that leans heavily into the aesthetic of Y2K era skate shoes such as the Osiris D3.

Elsewhere in the sneaker landscape, Nike is going all in on Halloween with a lineup that includes a skull-toed Air Force 1 Low and Dunk Low , as well as thematic colorways for Devin Booker’s Book 1 and Ja Morant’s Ja 2 . A black Air Jordan 1 Low also hosts glowing cat eyes on the tongue for a kid’s-exclusive likely to draw envy from adults.

The Puma MB.03 doesn’t yet have a firm release date but is expected to release in October. Pricing has not yet been confirmed either, and this post will be updated as more information becomes available.
