Serena Williams Celebrates Titus Kaphar's 'Exhibiting Forgiveness' Premiere Alongside Oprah In Black Pumps

Oprah Winfrey attended the “Exhibiting Forgiveness” premiere and after party held at The Gagosian on Sept. 12 in Los Angeles, California.

The film is directed by Titus Kaphar and stars André Holland, John Earl Jelks, Andra Day, Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, and Winfrey, Serena Williams, Ava DuVernay were at the event in support of the director and the film, which is due out on Oct. 18.

Winfrey, who has recently been spotted out and about in New York City in sneakers, dressed things up a bit for the event. She wore a light gray pant suit with a crisp white button down and paired the ensemble with a metallic silver pair of slingback, pointed toe flats. The shoes were the sold out Brunello Cucinelli Metallic leather flats, which retailed for $750, and featured an elasticated strap.

Although it wasn’t visible due to Winfrey’s wide-legged trousers, the strap is tan with a black stripe. The shoe has a leather lining, leather insole, leather and rubber sole and featured a dramatic pointed toe with a silver leather upper.

Winfrey posed for photos with her friends at the art gallery and her silver footwear stood out among a sea of black pumps. Her longtime friend and collaborator, DuVernay, offered a contrast to Winfrey’s bright ensemble and dressed in all black from head to toe.

Serena Williams was also in attendance wearing a matching lace black ensemble with leather black pumps. The tennis pro and Winfrey posed for photos with the director and the cast while at the event celebrating their new film. The movie follows a Black artist who finds his path to success derailed by an unexpected visit from his estranged father, a recovering addict desperate to reconcile. Together, they learn that forgetting might be harder than forgiving.

While the silver, metallic finish still made them look chic and sleek with the ensemble Winfrey was still seeking comfort by choosing a pair of flats to wear to the event. She was recently spotted in NYC wearing beige sneakers and cargo pants while heading to do a TV appearance. She also wore a pair of gray sneakers earlier in September.
