Jeff Staple, founder of namesake streetwear brand Staple and boutique creative and marketing agency Reed Art Department , is continuing to expand his business holdings with the appointment of two strategic leadership executives.

First up, Staple has hired Tod Rathbone as a strategic partner. In this role, the company said Rathbone will support the growth and expansion of Staple’s businesses, building on Staple’s 25-year plus legacy in streetwear and brand collaboration. Rathbone will work across businesses including Reed Art Department, Staple, Web3 studio Zealot, investments at Lytedust and other joint ventures.

“Having designed award-winning strategies for brands like Apple, Samsung and Adidas , I understand the critical role that emerging subcultures and changing tastes in fashion and youth can have on a company’s future,” Rathbone said in a statement. “Jeff has been a futurist and navigator both for his own businesses and for brands large and small who seek out his expertise on how to stay fresh and relevant. I couldn’t be more excited to bring my talents to his team.”

And at Reed Art Department, chief operating officer Matt Novoselsky, who has overseen operations, revenue generation, strategy, marketing and client management since 2019, has been appointed partner and co-owner. Prior to joining RAD, Novoselsky found and sold a logistics company, as well as worked at Fisher-Price, ESPN/Disney and Authentic Brands Group in marketing, brand management and operational roles.

“Since joining the RAD team in 2019, we’ve achieved incredible success as a nimble agency with deep expertise in what makes culture relevant today,” Novoselsky said. “I’m excited to further partner with Jeff as we continue to grow the business.”

“Both Tod and Matt add unprecedented value through their leadership skills and deep expertise,” Staple said . “I am excited for Tod to join us from his storied career in the ad agency world where he worked with large clients on every aspect of marketing and growth. He has been the central strategic architect behind award-winning work and a leader and mentor to the agencies he has grown, and I look forward to working with him to apply that same knowledge to everything I do.”

“Since Matt joined RAD, we have experienced substantial agency growth in the business,” the founder added. “His role as partner and co-owner further solidifies our shared sense of responsibility and vision as we lead the agency and our team to the next level.”
