Michelle Obama Wears Black Thigh-High Boots to ‘The Wonder of Stevie’ Podcast Event

Michelle Obama was out in New York City last night celebrating the new podcast “The Wonder of Stevie,” which she helped produce through her and former president Barack Obama ‘s production company Higher Ground.

For the celebratory event co-hosted by Higher Ground and Audible, the former first lady looked elegant in a Versace suit and black thigh-high boots.

Obama appeared to be wearing a finely tailored suit hailing from Versace . The Italian brand’s Barocco print double-breasted blazer and pants feature a light gray paisley-esque pattern against a darker background. Committing fully to the aesthetic, Obama wore a matching patterned blouse as well. She accessorized with large silver earrings which picked up the shining buttons on her blazer.

Obama added a fierce footwear look to the outfit with a pair of thigh-high black leather boots. The boots covered the majority of her pants and featured a sharply pointed toe and a vertical intended line down the center. As an over-the-knee boot is known to do, Obama’s shoes made a major statement with an outsized silhouette.

Janelle Monáe , meanwhile, looked polished in a tuxedo paired with black loafers and white socks. “The Wonder of Stevie” executive producer Questlove wore a pair of brown shoes with a smooth upper and rounded toe.

Obama was also dressed in Versace just last week at The Albies, an event hosted by George and Amal Clooney’s Clooney Foundation for Justice at the New York Public Library. For that occasion, she wore a black suit adorned with safety pins on the lapel of her blazer, and rocked a pair of black shoes with a razor sharp toe . Back at the Democratic National Convention in August, who wore a Monse ensemble with black Jimmy Choo pumps featuring a bow and kitten heel.
