Gayle King is ready to give her fellow women their flowers. At Glamour’s annual Women of the Year event, which took place on Oct. 9, the television host wore a floral bedecked look, sporting petals on both her dress and shoes. It comes not long after the star was photographed in red suede boots .

King’s shoes were a revealing, formal shoe from Badgley Mischka . The silhouette was a D’orsay style pump . This meant that like a traditional pump it covered the front of the foot in a closed-toe design as well as the back of the foot. But, instead of covering the sides, the upper is made of two different sections, providing for a sort of side foot cleavage. It is a middle ground, of sorts, between a sandal and a traditional pump.

The back half of King’s shoe is made of satin with a moderate heel of 3.75 inches. The heel is a stiletto. The front of the shoe is a mesh fabric, also done in red. It includes beaded embellishments throughout the toe box which is a pointed-toe silhouette. The soft, round vamp includes flower embellishments that are also beaded.

The shoe is Badgley Mischka’s Ophelia Embellished D’orsay Heel. The company currently has the shoe on final sale in midnight blue, white and black for $99.99 .

The shoe is in-line with trends: sheer styles have been a mainstay on red carpets for some time now. Either incorporating mesh-like fabrics or PVC, they’ve been encompassed everything from sandals to mules and stilettos.

With the floral shoe, King wore a floral dress from Rebecca Vallance. The dress was a black, off-the-shoulder, mid length design featuring a large flower on the chest.
