Zoey Deutch was the lady in red on Monday. The actress promoted her new Broadway production “Our Town” with a trip to SiriusXM Studios. For the appearance, she wore an all red suit, while teetering on black pumps.

Deutch’s shoes were from Christian Louboutin. That was clear by the brand’s signature red soles that peeked out from the bottom of the footwear.

The shoe is the Louboutin Iriza style. That is a D’Orsay style shoe, meaning that the on the inside of the foot, the upper is split into a front half and a back half. The vamp of the front is cut low on the foot, providing a slight bit of toe cleavage. The toe box is also a pointed style. The back of the shoe is not visible but is made of the same upper. The outside of the shoe appears like a typical low-cut pump.

The footwear appears to sport a razor thin stiletto heel of about four inches. it is also a single-sole silhouette, meaning there is a steep pitch as the shoe has no assistance in height other than the incline of the foot.

Louboutin is a staple brand on red carpets and in celebrity closets. As such, it has become a cornerstone of luxury footwear, the red soles of the designs as a sort of calling card. The color of those soles is inspired by nail polish: founder Christian Louboutin said he noticed the red nails of a secretary once and transposed the color onto the bottom of footwear. The brand has defended the almost exclusive usage of red soles in courts vigorously over the years.

During Paris Fashion Week earlier this month, Louboutin staged a performance with David LaChapelle. For it, he had a crew of synchronized swimmers as well as a pole dancer. The swimmers wore the company’s new Miss Z pump in metallic colors. The Miss Z is similar to the popular So Kate style with a sharper, more angular aesthetic.
