DULUTH, Minn.- As the only 2024 high school graduate on the Duluth Huskies’ roster, Jake Downing has done some on-the-fly adapting in the last month and a half. “Definitely a slow start, kind of just getting adjusted to everything,” says Downing, 18. “The faster pace of the game, the bigger guys, kind of learning as much as I can in a short span of time. And just making adjustments every single day.”
Local Kayaker Circumnavigates Lake Superior
DULUTH, Minn. — Cale Prosen began his journey around Lake Superior right on the shoreline near the lift bridge in Park Point. “It was a nice protected location where I knew I would be safe from the waves of Superior,” said Prosen. “Being in a nice protected bay such as this where there wouldn’t be five foot waves. And of course it’s a nice public landing for me to start and finish my journey.”
