From the smallest classification in Oregon, to the second-highest level of collegiate women's volleyball.

St. Paul High School senior Audra Rose announced her commitment to Seattle Pacific University on Friday, Aug. 9, via Instagram. Rose, a first team all-state selection last season, helped lead the Buckaroos to a second-place finish at the volleyball state tournament, recording a team-high 18 kills against Crane in the state championship.

The imposing middle blocker will join a Falcons team that hasn't had a losing season since 2019 and captured the 2023 Great Northwest Athletic Conference title, finishing 22-5 overall and qualifying for the NCAA DII Tournament.

"I am beyond excited to announce my commitment to further my athletic and academic career at Seattle Pacific University," Rose wrote in an Instagram post. "I want to thank my parents and family for their on-going support and helping me push past all obstacles of life! I also want to thank (Oregon Juniors Volleyball Academy) for helping me grow as a player and for giving me the chance to play club! I’m also grateful for Coach (Lesli) Hiller and the coaching staff at St. Paul for their support in my volleyball career!"

Rose has been a dominant presence for the Buckaroos in volleyball, basketball and track and field the last couple of years. With the departure of a strong senior class, St. Paul's potential ceiling this season in volleyball will likely rest on her shoulders. Rose and the Buckaroos open their season with a pair of matches against Central Christian and Pilot Rock at Central Christian High School on Aug. 30.
