Orange. The sky is a beautiful shade of orange this morning. It lingers. I hope that the rising sun will not erase its glorious color before settling in for the rest of the day.

I can’t wear orange. Truly, I turn orange. My white hair reflects the color causing me to look as if I am wearing an apricot turban. Not a good look!

Orange is a beautiful color. In fact I will call it a happy color. As the trees turn from green to orange, yellow and red, they announce the new season. Beauty seems to be abounding.

Pumpkins seem to like the color as well. Okay, I know. Now you can get pumpkins (or squash) in a variety of colors and many have warts as well. Still there is none more delightful than a sweet orange pumpkin. I can’t resist them.

My bridesmaids wore dresses of deep orange. My son loves to laugh at my color choice. And, perhaps the orange ladies made the bride a bit paler; however, they were such a beautiful shade that I would gladly sacrifice my blond hair for that of reflected orange. Let him laugh. He wasn’t there.
