Forest Lake resident Holly Harden released the cookbook “Good Food from Mrs. Sundberg’s Kitchen.” She was a writer for Garrison Keillor’s “A Prairie Home Companion” as a weekly columnist going by the pseudonym Mrs. Sundberg. Forest Lake natives Colin Benjamin, Doug Daninger, Nikki Finnemann, Erin Keto, Caroline Rychley, Dan Sherman and Rebekah Spiess were safe after a storm in the BWCA that killed one person and left more than 30 people seriously injured. As they waited out 30 to 40 mph winds, a tree fell and landed within a few feet of their tent. That prompted them to flee the tent, and after they did, it blew away. Once the storm passed, the teens were shocked no one in their group was injured.

The pair started their trip at the headwaters in Lake Itasca. The three largest issues of the trip were wind, bugs and boredom, according to Davis and Anderson.
