Forest Lake senior anglers see success
The duo of seniors Jack Gross (left) and Jacob Poferl (right) on the Forest Lake fishing team are tied for first with a Cambridge-Isanti duo with 197 points through the first two competitions this summer in the North Metro Conference, which consists of the Rangers, Bluejackets, Chisago Lakes and Zimmerman. Gross and Poferl won the first conference competition at South Center Lake on Monday, June 12. Both of them will be representing Forest Lake at the high school national tournament on Lake Hartwell in South Carolina on Friday and Saturday, July 21-22. The final conference competition with the chance for some Rangers to advance to state will take place at East and West Rush Lakes on Monday, July 10.
