Mayor Maefsky re-elected, Lubke, Cusick win Scandia Council seats
The Minnesota Secretary of State's Office has reported 100% of Scandia Precincts as of 9:48 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 8. Mayor Christine Maefsky ran for re-election unopposed in 2022 and earned 1,759 votes (96.54%). There are 63 write-in votes. There were two Scandia City Council seats up for election and five candidates vying for the spots. The candidates who earned their spot on the council in 2022 are Michael Lubke received 863 votes (27.05%) and incumbent Jerry Cusick trailed behind receiving 793 votes (24.86%), according to the Secretary of State's Office. Lori Lavin received 715 votes (22.41%), Donald Baber received 421 votes (13.2%) and Christopher Johnson received 374 votes (11.72%).
Mayor Bain re-elected, Erickson, Roberts win Forest Lake City Council seats
The Minnesota Secretary of State Office has reported 100% of the votes for the Forest Lake City Council election. According to the Secretary of State's Office, Mayor Mara Bain ran for re-election un-opposed and earned 6,450 votes (96.44%), there are 238 write-in votes. There were four candidates vying for two city council seats. Leif Erickson received 4,986 votes (37.49%), and Blake Roberts who has received 4,590 votes (34.52%) earned the most votes, according to the Secretary of State's Office. Following the two leading candidates, Jeffery Larson received 2,099 votes (15.78%) and Marcus Gibbs who received 1,561 votes (11.74%), there are 62 write-in votes. Voting results were updated at 10:58 p.m. with five of five precincts reported.
Forest Lake Area School Board election results
The Minnesota Secretary of State Office has reported 86.96% of the Forest Lake Area School Board votes. There are seven candidates vying for the three seats. The top three candidates are Luke Hagglund who has received 7,459 votes (17.84%), Jill Christenson who has received 6,727 votes (16.09%) and Curt Rebelein who has received 6,329 votes (15.13%), according to unofficial results from the Secretary of State's Office. Todd Proulx is following closely receiving 6,216 votes (14.86%), Laura Ndirangu has received 6,080 votes (14.54%), Ashley Bulmer has received 5,540 votes (13.25%) and April Eagan received 3,295 votes (7.88%) there are 171 write-in votes. Voting results were updated at 10:53 p.m. with 20 of the 23 precincts recorded.
Wyoming council members re-elected, un-opposed race
Both incumbents to the Wyoming City Council Claire Luger and Dennis Schilling ran unopposed in the election and won their respective seats. Luger was the top vote-getter with 2,145 votes or 51.12% of the vote, and Schilling earned 1,978 votes or 47.14% of the vote, with 73 or 1.74% write-in votes recorded by the Minnesota Secretary of State’s unofficial election results.
Sen. Mark Koran maintains seat in Senate District 38
Update: 1:24 a.m. Sen. Mark Koran (R) will retain his seat for Senate District 38 after soundly defeating DFL challenger Victoria Ann Bird with 67.18% of the vote. The Minnesota Secretary of State has reported 100% of Linwood Township's ballots for its two unopposed candidates. Robert Millerbernd received 1,795 votes (96.45%) for Town Supervisor Seat A, there are 66 write-in votes. John Olson received 1,688 votes (93.31%) for Town Supervisor Seat D, while there are 121 write-in votes, according to the Secretary of State's Office.

Kreun garnered 19,684 votes compared to Luthner's 17,459. There were 34 write-in votes.Both were political newcomers to state office campaigns, and school board members.
