A new state law to protect student drivers in Oklahoma takes effect on Thursday, following the death of an Edmond teen. Del City approves goose hunting at Eagle Lake
Voting 3 to 2, the Del City City Council recently approved hunting of non-migratory geese at Eagle Lake from September 7-16 during the state hunting season. Mayor Floyd A. Eason stated the proposal was a request from the U.S. Military because the geese were getting in the way of the flight paths of military planes coming from Tinker Air Force Base. While the council approved the motion, council members Scott Tatom and Claudia Browne both expressed concern over the proposal and ultimately voted against it.
