South Carolina Weather Alert: Hail and Flash Flooding Chance Through Friday
Charleston, SC – South Carolina residents should brace for severe weather conditions starting today and continuing through Saturday. The US National Weather Service in Charleston has issued warnings for showers and thunderstorms, with stronger storms predicted to produce damaging winds and possibly large hail through Friday. Localized flash flooding is also possible, creating hazardous conditions for residents across the state.

Heat Advisory for our western counties from 11 AM to 8 PM. Heat index values will range from 100-105 area wide. Expect lots of sun and hardly any rain today. By this evening, a complex of storms could bring heavy rain, gusty winds, and small hail in the strongest of storms.

FIRST ALERT: HEAT ADVISORY issued for Thursday
MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Excessive humidity will once again send the heat index into the dangerous range for the end of the week. A HEAT ADVISORY is in effect for the entire area from 11:00 AM through 8:00 PM Thursday. The combination of temperatures in the 90s and very high humidity will push the heat index to 105 to 110 from midday into the early evening.
