Duluth, MN – Northern Minnesota is bracing for potential severe weather today, with showers and thunderstorms expected to develop throughout the region. According to the US National Weather Service Duluth, there is a 50-90% chance of thunderstorms, some of which may be strong with small hail, gusty winds, and heavy rainfall. (KNSI) – A high-profile murder trial began Monday in Benton County. Michael Carpenter is accused of shooting a coworker on October 24th, 2022, in the parking lot of a St. Cloud textile factory before their shift started. Witnesses say that they saw Carpenter get out of his vehicle and walk toward the south end of the lot, where he allegedly fired a pistol at 28-year-old Nicole Hammond, killing her.

(KNSI) – The body found Sunday morning at Lions Park in Sauk Rapids has been identified. Just before 7:00, a woman called 911 saying a man was lying in the grass. Officers arrived and found the man who was pronounced dead at the scene. The Midwest Medical Examiners Office determined Monday the man’s name and age. The family of 34-year-old Devon Michael Majersky has been notified.
