Court of Honor held for Troop 74 Eagle Scouts
On Saturday, July 13, a Court of Honor ceremony was held at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Nazareth for Troop 74’s Eagle Scouts Aaron Louw and Christopher Walters. Both Aaron and Christopher completed an Eagle Scout Project to obtain their rank. Aaron constructed an augmented reality sandbox with software for interactive watershed education to supplement the Jacobsburg State Park Environmental Education Center’s watershed education program. He trained park staff and led an interactive presentation for the public with his troop members. He managed helpers in 227 hours of design, construction and training. Aaron believes the best way to start watershed recovery is to develop greater awareness through interactive educational tools that leave positive, memorable impressions on developing minds.
Vending machine outside of local hospital offers condoms, pregnancy tests & more; First of its kind in Pennsylvania
The Health To Go vending machine is outside of the emergency department of UPMC Harrisburg, and it's one of the first in the state. Among the items in the machine are pregnancy tests, male and female condoms, naloxone, and fentanyl test strips. All of them, free.

Buckingham denies preliminary approval for warehouse on DiGirolamo tract
Editor's Note: This story has been updated to correct the vote. Buckingham supervisors voted 2-1 against preliminary approval for a proposed warehouse. Culminating a five-hour public meeting that adjourned a half-hour into the next day, and a years-long protest by residents, Buckingham Township supervisors denied preliminary approval for a proposal for a 150,000 square foot warehouse on the 57-acre DiGirolamo tract along Cold Spring Creamery Road between Burnt House Hill Road and Stoney Lane.
