High bacteria levels prompt closure of 3 Lake Washington beaches
SEATTLE — Health officials are recommending people and pets stay out of the water at three Lake Washington beaches due to high levels of bacteria in recent water samples. Public Health – Seattle and King County said Matthews Beach, Enatai Beach, and Houghton Beach were closed as of Tuesday due to the high levels of bacteria.

Inferno reduces Chelan recycling center to rubble
CHELAN - The recycling center next to the Chelan Transfer Station just west of the city of Chelan is no more after a fire burned it to the ground on Wednesday. Chelan Fire and Rescue Chief Brandon Asher told Source ONE News that the fire started at around 11:30 a.m. The fire's cause and point of origin is still under investigation. Asher says the recycling center is a total loss with heavy equipment and its shop burning in the blaze. The fire was controlled nearly 90 minutes later. The transfer station next to the recycling center has been closed and will reopen on Thursday under normal hours.
Woman allegedly stalked at Mukilteo waterfront, cautions others to be aware
