WASHINGTON — Two women are in custody on accusations they gained access to a dead man's Cash App account by cutting off his thumb. In a 49-page affidavit filed in D.C. Superior Court, investigators laid out a gruesome and diabolical scheme, saying one of the women knew the victim, who was found dead inside his apartment with blunt-force trauma to his head.
