Fort Atkinson man identified in May 17 fatal crash

ALBION, Wis. -- A Fort Atkinson man was identified Thursday as the person who died after a crash last week in the Town of Albion.

The Dane County Medical Examiner's Office said that 39-year-old Andrew J. Jorgenson was pronounced dead at the scene of a May 17 crash at the intersection of Edgerton Road and State Highway 73.

TOWN OF ALBION, Wis. -- The Dane County Sheriff's Office has confirmed to News 3 Now that a person died in motor vehicle accident in the town of Albion. DCSO say the deceased was a 39 year-old passenger of one of two vehicles involved.

According to the Dane County Sheriff's Office, Jorgenson was a passenger in one of the two vehicles involved in the crash. The other people involved were injured and taken to area hospitals.

The crash led to a portion of State Highway 73 being closed for roughly 4.5 hours.
