    Baseball: Zahn's first-team selection headlines Fort's five all-conference picks

    Five Fort Atkinson baseball players were honored in Badger Large all-conference voting held recently.

    Junior Jordan Zahn, who pitched and played first base, was a first team all-league selection. He pitched 46 innings across nine games, posting an ERA of 2.13 with a WHIP of 1.217 while striking out 21 against eight walks. At the dish, Zahn hit .307 with an on-base percentage of .402 and drove in 12 runs.

    Senior Cam Haagensen, who will play collegiately at Bryant & Stratton College, was a second-team honoree. Haagensen hit .299 and drove in nine runs while scoring on nine occasions.

    Juniors Trent Wilson, Brogan Bosch, Braden Hausen, Braeden Hoth and Gavin Kanters were honorable mention picks.

    Wilson hit .324 with nine RBIs, Bosch hit .288 with 10 RBIs, Hausen hit .324, stole nine bases and drove in eight runs, Hoth hit .338 scored 16 times and drove in 13 runs and Kanters hit .320 with a team-high 12 extra-base knocks and team-best 25 RBIs.

    Monona Grove won the Badger Large with a record of 12-2, followed by Watertown and Milton each at 8-6, Waunakee at 7-7, Beaver Dam and Oregon at 6-8, DeForest at 5-9 and Fort Atkinson at 4-10.
