American Legion baseball: Late surge sends Fort Atkinson past Beloit, 6-1

Fort Atkinson’s Senior Legion baseball team used crooked innings in the fifth and sixth to beat Beloit 6-1 at Jones Park on Tuesday night.

Beloit scratched across a run in the fourth.

Fort countered in the home half of the fifth with two runs, including one on Cam Haagensen’s RBI single.

Braden Hausen added an RBI double in Fort’s four-run sixth, which also saw Hunter Green produce a run-scoring single.

Jordan Zahn started for the Hawks, pitching four innings with four strikeouts while permitting one run. Drew Kloster pitched the fifth and sixth to earn the decision, punching out three.

Green went 2-for-2, also recording a double, and Haagensen finished 2-for-4.
