Groundwaves Returns!

Despite the recent worldwide pandemic, ambitions to keep Groundwaves Hip Hop going in 2020 have been strong.

Murs in partnership with the Music District have been working on a new online format to continue the Hip-Hop open mic event. In the past this event has taken place in a venue but as the pandemic has lingered on, that has become unsustainable and frankly unsafe. Not to worry, however —

Groundwaves lives on!

Since physical spaces are out— this year, Groundwaves will still be hosted by Mursand take place live on The Music District YouTube channel.

This event has been a milestone achievement for the hip hop scene in Colorado, working to emulate the Good Life Cafe vibes of the 1990’s L.A. hip hop scene.
