Fossil Ridge football player Marcus Mozer commits to Mountain West program

One of the top football players in Fort Collins will play college in the Mountain West.

Fossil Ridge High School's Marcus Mozer announced his commitment on X to join San Diego State.

The 6-foot-3 Mozer has experience on both sides of the ball as well as starring in track and field. He's committed to the Aztecs as a receiver.

Mozer had 54 catches for 940 yards and nine touchdowns last season as a junior. He also had nearly 500 kick return yards.

Mozer had an excellent performance at the 2024 Colorado state track meet. He finished second in Class 5A in the long jump (22-feet, 11 inches), fourth in the 200-meter dash (21.73 seconds) and sixth in the 100 dash (10.85 seconds).

He's rated as a three-star recruit by 247Sports and has reported offers from Washington State, New Mexico, Air Force, UTEP, Army and Navy among others.
