Construction will continue on Kechter Road through mid-August.

Kechter Road has been closed between Strauss Cabin Road and the I-25 Southwest Frontage Road since July 8 for asphalt paving. That work was expected to be finished Thursday, July 18.

That section of Kechter Road will reopen when that initial work is done, but some other road repair work will continue on an adjacent portion of the road through mid-August.

Additional concrete repair work started this week on Kechter Road between Zeigler and Strauss Cabin roads. Travelers should expect periodic lane shifts on that section of Kechter Road through Aug. 12.

The City of Fort Collins Streets Department approved the additional repair work due to available funding and staffing, spokesperson Brian Nunnery told the Coloradoan. This work is being prioritized in order to consolidate the impacts to Kechter Road.
