Newcomers Cordale Russell, Colton Hood reveal Colorado uniform numbers

On their respective Instagram stories, incoming Colorado football transfers Cordale Russell and Colton Hood revealed the uniform numbers they’ll wear this upcoming season.

Russell, a redshirt freshman wide receiver who joins the Buffs via TCU, has been assigned jersey No. 15, also be worn by second-year CU punter Mark Vassett. During his lone season with the Horned Frogs, the former four-star prospect sported No. 1.

After wearing No. 24 throughout his one season with the Auburn Tigers , Hood will transition to No. 3. The 6-foot, 195-pound cornerback recorded three tackles in four games played at Auburn last year. His younger brother, Brandon, also recently joined the Buffs as an incoming freshman running back.

Colorado will likely have an offensive player sport No. 3 as well. Running back Dylan Edwards and cornerback Omarion Cooper, who both entered the transfer portal this spring, wore No. 3 last year.
