    Pirates crew commits to Iowa Central Football

    Six members of the 2023 Park Center football team officially committed to play football at Iowa Central Community College last week, sending a talented core of Pirates to star for the Tritons in years to come.

    The six new Tritons are linebacker Demitris Walker, defensive back and quarterback Isaac Davis, offensive lineman Great Ndego, defensive lineman Emmanuel Dorbor, linebacker Sabastine Weaver and defensive back Kristopher Roberts.

    Iowa Central is a public community college in Fort Dodge. The team plays with the National Junior College Athletic Association in the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference. Having won a national championship in 1978, the team remains competitive, earning a 7-4 record last season and winning the 2023 Game One Bowl over Snow College.

    Several former Tritons have gone on to transfer to four-year colleges and professional football, including Amari Spievey, Tyji Armstrong and Troy Stedman.

    Two Pirates, Woody Kesseh and Shadra Gonletuo, also committed to play college football at the North Dakota State College of Science. based in Wahpeton, which also competes in the NJCAA. The Wildcats held an 8-3 overall record last season.
