Bluejays Raced Around the Basepaths
The Perry baseball team had a team On Base Percentage of .343 as they went 11-19 last season. The offense had a down year, but when the Bluejays reached base they saw success. The junior was caught just three times. 24 steals by Myers is the most in nearly a decade by a Bluejay. He ranks 23rd in the state out of 3A athletes ahead of the State Tournament. Proposed homeless ordinance for Des Moines is unethical
Jason Benell lives in Des Moines with his wife and two children. He is a combat veteran, former city council candidate, and president of Iowa Atheists and Freethinkers. This approach lays bare the apparent goal of the sitting councilors who support this policy: they do not believe unhoused folks deserve the same level of respect and dignity as other citizens. They are willing to cast them outside of the Des Moines city limits, if not completely outside of our society.
