May 29 will be the last day of operations for eatery and winery chain Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant in the Galleria at Fort Lauderdale , says recent coverage by the South Florida Business Journal .

The considerably sized (17,000 square feet) restaurant launched back in 2019. The brand has a number of other locations in South Florida , including in Wellington , Palm Beach Gardens , Dania Beach , to name a few.

Cooper’s Hawk serves a dinner menu that starts with appetizers like Thai Lettuce Wraps, Chicken Potstickers, and Classic Tomato Bruschetta. Pasta & Risotto dishes include Country Rigatoni ( Italian Sausage, Mushroom, Chicken, Roasted Grape Tomatoes, Herbs, Tomato Garlic Cream Sauce ) and Braised Short Rib Risotto. A Burgers & Sandwiches menu features the Leonard Burger ( A Tribute to Founder Tim McEnery’s Father—Double Patty, Signature Sauce, Caramelized Onion, American Cheese, Lettuce Tomato ) and a Crispy Buttermilk Chicken Sandwich.

The menu also features a generous selection of wines by the bottle and by the glass, plus specialty cocktails like the Kentucky Mule, with Knob Creek, lime, ginger beer, mint, and candied ginger.

There’s no news yet on whether Cooper’s Hawk plans to replace the Fort Lauderdale location, or if this will represent a lasting shrinkage in the brand’s South Florida footprint.
