The Florida Panthers will celebrate their first Stanley Cup championship with a parade in Fort Lauderdale on Sunday, but the festivities have already begun.

Why it matters: This will be South Florida's first championship parade since 2013, when the Miami Heat capped off back-to-back NBA title runs with the Big Three.

The latest: The Panthers announced that their parade will run along A1A beginning at 11am at Riomar Street and ending just north of Fort Lauderdale Beach Park at Southeast Fifth Street, across from Hotel Maren.

    • A stage will be set up there for a team rally.

What to expect: "It's gonna be the greatest party that's probably happened in South Florida," Panthers star left wing Matthew Tkachuk said in a postgame interview Monday night.

Tracking Stanley: The Panthers took over the historic Elbo Room bar at Fort Lauderdale Beach on Tuesday morning and marched into the ocean with the 132-year-old Cup.

What's next: Parking information and other parade details will be released later this week on the Panthers' social media accounts.
