Charlotte-area restaurant bringing steampunk-inspired experience to a fourth location

Jekyll & Hyde Taphouse & Grill is opening its first South Carolina location in Fort Mill later this year in the Baxter Village space that was formerly occupied by Lucky Duck .

The restaurant announced on social media that a new restaurant will be opening, sometime “this fall/winter.” The news comes just days after the company opened its third location in Waxhaw on July 12.

Dozens of people were ecstatic at the news, with Facebook user Ann Rockett writing: “Yaaaayyyyy!!!! I love your Belmont location and am so glad to have you here.”

A representative from Jekyll & Hyde told CharlotteFive that the restaurant would update with a more specific opening day in the coming months.

What to expect

Jekyll & Hyde is a “family owned and operated steampunk inspired taphouse, grill, brewery and distillery.”

The food menu features appetizers, soups and salads, steaks, burgers and sandwiches, along with other entrees. Popular choices include the Hyde’s Shepherd’s Pie, made with short rib and topped with whipped potatoes and smoked cheddar cheese.

The restaurant also offers a brunch menu that is available from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sundays, and a lunch menu that is available from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays. The restaurant offers a kids menu, plus a late night menu. Dessert is also an option, with pictures of cheesecake flooding the restaurant’s Instagram pages.

At the Matthews location, there are over 50 craft beers on tap to go with a full bar of liquor, wine and craft cocktails.
