A stark sequence of gun violence has unfolded in Charlotte over two consecutive nights, leaving multiple individuals grappling with the aftermath of unexpected aggression. The first of these incidents occurred on Friday night, just after 8 p.m., along Katelyn Drive in the northern sector of the city. According to WSOC-TV, MEDIC reported that one person was seriously injured and subsequently taken to Atrium Main, facing life-threatening injuries as a result of the shooting.
Employee charged with stealing SC DMV funds
A Camden woman faces a felony charge for allegedly using state computers to steal thousands of dollars while working for the South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles. SLED agents arrested Julia Haley Baker, 22. She was charged with computer crime in the first degree and booked at the Kershaw County Detention Center and will be prosecuted by the Fifth Circuit Solicitor's Office. If convicted, she could be fined up to $50,000 and/or sentenced to up to five years in prison.
