"Greeley Police Introduces K9 Onyx: Explosive Detection and More"
The Greeley Police Department proudly introduces K9 Onyx, a two-year-old black Labrador born in Poland. She joined the GPD K-9 unit in February of 2024. K9 Onyx received initial training in Michigan and is currently certified through PSP in Explosive Detection, firearms, and spent shell casings detection. She is undergoing further training in Search and Rescue operations. K9 Onyx's handler is Officer Czapenski, with whom she shares a strong bond developed during K9 academy training. In her free time, K9 Onyx enjoys playing with a stuffed duck and squeaky toys. Residents can look forward to more updates on K9 Onyx from the Greeley Police Department.
