Severe storms bring winds, damage to Wichita area
A line of severe thunderstorms moved across south central Kansas late Tuesday afternoon, bringing wind gusts of 65 miles an hour, bringing down trees and power lines. The storms developed in Kingman and Harper counties and then moved east into Reno, Harvey, Sedgwick, Sumner, Butler and Cowley counties.
