    Two arrested in connection with Friday morning gas station robbery in Fort Smith

    FORT SMITH, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — The Fort Smith Police Department says two people have been arrested in connection with a robbery that occurred at a gas station in Fort Smith on Friday morning, according to a news release.

    Talyn Thomas, 18, and a juvenile were arrested in connection with a robbery at the Valero gas station on Grand Avenue that took place around 6:30 a.m. on Friday.

    FSPD said the two arrested were connected to a vehicle robbery in Paris, Ark., and were arrested a short time later.

    Thomas and the juvenile are being extradited to Fort Smith to face aggravated robbery charges, the department said.

    The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released as it becomes available.
