BUTLER CREEK FIRE (NW of Missoula) The Butler Creek Fire was first report Monday, July 22, 2024, at about 1:30am. The fire is burning west of Butler Creek Rd in grass and heavy timber, 7 miles northwest of downtown Missoula. It is north of I-90, and east of Hwy 93. So far, it has burned 307 acres, and is 15% contained. Its cause is being investigated.

Laurel wrestlers flex their skills at national level
Laurel wrestlers, under the direction of volunteer coach Mark Cloud, had a busy June with stops in three places to practice and compete in wrestling. Laurel wrestlers started fundraising at the end of February as each student had to raise $3,000 to pay for trip. Wrestlers and boosters sold raffle tickets and had a 50/50 with basket raffle at the Palace. The 50/50 and basket raffle helped cover the cost of food, lodging and activities in Florida.

Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - On July 21, 2024, a Montana Highway Patrol Trooper observed a motor vehicle traveling southbound on US Highway 93 into Lolo. The trooper’s radar showed the vehicle traveling 72 MPH entering a 45 MPH zone. The trooper observed that the driver was a male and there was one female passenger.
