JACKSONVILLE, Fl – It has been another quiet day rainwise for most but storms should increase through the end of the week. Tonight the risk for heavy rain and stronger storms will target inland areas from Highway 301 to the Suwanee Valley and into Georgia. A Decatur doctor recently spoke before a Senate subcommittee on Human Rights and Law about the health impacts of the “Heartbeat” bill on Georgia women. Dr. Suchitra Chandrasekaran, who works for Emory Healthcare and is a member of the Health Policy and Advocacy Committee for the Society of Maternal Fetal Medicine, was one of the doctors that Sen. Jon Ossoff said “people need to hear from” two years after the passage of House Bill 481.
