FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – The first half of 2024 is in the books and we are currently on pace for the second warmest year ever in Fort Wayne’s history. Since 1897, only one year has had a warmer first six months.

Drought concerns rising from hotter and drier pattern

Our average temperature from January to June sits at 50.5 degrees, which places only behind the year 2012 so far. We will have to watch and see if we keep this up through the rest of the year.
