FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – On Harry Potter night at Parkview Field, a TinCaps couldn’t find enough late-game magic in a 3-2 loss to Lake County.

Fort Wayne had the tying and game-winning runs at the corners with one out. However, Lake County’s Magnus Ellerts fanned the next two batters to thwart a potential walk-off win.

The TinCaps fell behind early after allowing a run in the first and second inning. Fort Wayne tied the game at 2-2 thanks to RBI doubles by Devin Ortiz and Nick Vogt. Lake County answered in the next inning with a go-ahead solo shot by Jorge Burgos.

Fort Wayne looks to bounce back on Saturday against Lake County. First pitch is scheduled for 6:05 p.m. at Parkview Field.
