FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – From the Highlight Zone to a home town hero. Jalen Jackson is continuing to pay it forward for his home town with his second annual summer basketball camp.

On Sunday, the Mastodon coached up kids at OPS Dupont.

After transferring to Purdue Fort Wayne for his sophomore season, Jackson emerged as a two-way threat with the Mastodons. The shooting guard averaged a team-high 15.7 points per game, while also collecting 4.6 rebounds and 2.5 assists. For his efforts, Jackson was named to the All-Horizon League Third Team at the end of the regular season.

Along with Jackson, head coach Jon Coffman is returning 10 players from last year’s team. Combined with a mix of incoming freshman and transfers, the Mastodons look to take a big step in the Horizon League this coming season.
