A Mega Millions ticket sold in Texas won $1 million and narrowly missed the $535 million jackpot, lottery officials say.

The Texas ticket matched all five winning numbers but not the Mega Ball in the drawing Friday, Aug. 23, to win $1 million, the Texas Lottery said.

A ticket sold in Tennessee also matched all five winning numbers and the Megaplier for a $3 million prize.

Nobody won the grand prize, which rises to an estimated $575 million , with a cash option of approximately $285.5 million, for the next drawing Tuesday, Aug. 27, the national Mega Millions site said

The winning numbers were 28, 30, 44, 66 and 69 with a Mega Ball of 2. The Megaplier was 3.

The $1 million ticket was sold at a gas station in Abilene, about 150 miles west of Fort Worth.

More than 88,000 other tickets sold in Texas won prizes ranging from $2 to $10,000 in the drawing, the lottery said.

The Mega Millions jackpot has gone unclaimed since June 4, when an Illinois player hit the $552 million grand prize, lottery officials said.
