A 31-year-old man died early Sunday when the pickup truck he was driving went off Interstate 30 in Arlington and struck a concrete barrier, sign pillar and guardrail, police said.

The man was ejected about 3:30 a.m. from the westbound 2006 Ford F-150 after it crashed in the median near Fielder Road.

Arlington police suggested intoxication was a possible factor in the crash.

The driver, whose name the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office has not released, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 32-year-old woman who was a passenger in the pickup was extricated and taken in critical condition to a hospital, police said.
