    Fort Worth police arrest murder suspect in shooting death of 23-year-old man

    Fort Worth police have arrested a suspect in a shooting that killed a man on Aug. 18.

    Kevonte Williams, 28, was booked into the city jail on Monday on suspicion of murder in the death of 23-year-old Jacouryan Johnson .

    Police have said that officers found the victim near the intersection of Miller Avenue and Hardeman Street around 1:45 a.m. on Aug. 18.

    Johnson was shot in the chest, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office. He was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital, where he died in an operating room.

    Police said the gang unit was investigating the shooting.
